Ebook About
Navy SEAL meets gamer geek in this opposites-attract, forced proximity romance from bestselling author Annabeth AlbertIt’s typical of video game programmer Josiah Simmons to be the last one on the plane on the way to the biggest meeting of his career. Though he’s (mostly) coping with his ADHD, he can’t handle another distraction. But he also can’t ignore his rugged seatmate—especially once he learns the military man’s a fan of his game.Ryan Orson refuses to let his severe injuries pause his career as a navy SEAL. He’s got hours of grueling physical therapy ahead of him, and no time for anything that might get in the way of his return to active duty. But that doesn’t mean he’s above a little first-class flirtation with geeky-cute Josiah. When a delay strands the pair in St. Louis, they agree to share a hotel room and a night of gaming. Neither expects their new connection to move to the next level in the light of day. Opposites may attract, but is this game over before it’s even begun?#gaymersBook 1: Status UpdateBook 2: Beta TestBook 3: Connection ErrorAlso by Annabeth Albert:Shore LeaveBook 1: Sailor ProofBook 2: Sink or SwimOut of UniformBook 1: Off BaseBook 2: At AttentionBook 3: On PointBook 4: Wheels UpBook 5: Squared AwayBook 6: Tight QuartersBook 7: Rough Terrain Hotshots: Book 1: Burn ZoneBook 2: High HeatBook 3: Feel the FireBook 4: Up in Smoke

Book Connection Error (#gaymers Book 3) Review :

really enjoyed Connection Error and felt like it was very different from the previous two in the series, which was nice. Both Josiah and Ryan are out and comfortable with it and both have supporting families so that was a big difference from the other #gaymers books. Ryan and Josiah are a perfect alpha and beta couple and I loved that they created a solid friendship first.I really enjoyed how confident Ryan was about himself (though he had some insecurities about losing his legs). Ryan was flirty and cocky and knew what he wanted and that was very attractive to Josiah. He was a bit hung up on his ex but the breakup was fairly recent and really messed with his confidence, so I get it. Watching Ryan go through his rehab and try to sort out his life was also really interesting because Albert does a really good job of showing the good and bad of his situation.Josiah was also pretty adorable with all this weird quirks and his attempts to build up his own confidence. It was great to see how Josiah always supported Ryan and respected that Ryan wanted to do things on his own. He never made Ryan feel helpless or like the needed to be tended to. They were so sweet together!I liked that Ryan and Josiah really built their friendship through their online gaming and emails and chat and that really allowed their relationship to build in a more casual manner before they really got serious.
This is the third (and last) book in the "gaymers" series by Annabeth Albert. I loved all three of the books. Honestly cannot even say which was my favorite because all of the couples are very different from the others and all three stories were wonderfully engaging. These can be read as stand-alones; characters from previous books make appearances but you don't need to know the details of prior books to enjoy subsequent ones. This story revolves around Navy SEAL Ryan, who is going through rehab after terrible injuries have left him without both of his legs. The other MC is Josiah who is quite a bit younger than Ryan and copes with symptoms of ADHD on a daily basis. (Right. AHDH versus double amputee? Ryan makes a jab about that, too. But the author sells the ramifications of Josiah's 'handicap' so that it's believable but never made to seem equally as serious as the severe physical limitations facing Ryan.)Love the chance meeting and the instant connection (see what I did there?) these two have. I absolutely loved how different these two guys were from each other. Josiah was sunshine and light and happiness and enthusiasm. He comes across as an eager puppy with a bit of sass to him. Ryan is older, more serious and dealing with incredible physical challenges as well as the end of a career he has invested 10 years of his life into.Ryan is completing his rehab at Walter Reed in Washington DC. Josiah lives and works in LA. After their initial meeting, the two carry on a texting and email friendship which gets increasingly intense as time progresses. These two need to work through the distance and the damage past hurts have caused in order to find out if they can be a permanent thing. Not a ton of heat in this book, but a little. (Those love scenes were actually kind of hard to imagine which is usually not the case with any Annabeth Albert books I have read before. I don't know if the reason was Ryan's physical challenges or what.) There were a lot of cute conversations and funny flirting scenes between these two and I always love those. I'm a little bummed the series is over, but I know there is another Annabeth Albert book (Portland Heat) coming out December 6. Yeah, I have a reminder in my phone. :)
